Some of us are Indian by choice. Our Little Brother, the whiteman, was lost. He could not and cannot pronounce any of our tribal names. I am a proud member of the American Indian Movement. We have organizations we are proud of that are called National Congress of American Indians (NCAI), American Indian College Fund (AICF).   Our grandmothers wrote legislation advocating for our American Indians. The U.S. Constitution has provisions for our Indian Nations. “Indian” is attached to a legal framework. AND many songs by our relatives have been written with the love of our Indian people
